猪名川町で最も大きい民家の一つとされている「旧冨田家住宅」を昭和59年に町が買い取り、文化の向上に役立てる目的で一般に公開しているものです。
In 1984, the town purchased what is considered one of the largest private residences in Inagawa-cho, the ‘Old Tomita Family Residence’, and is making it available to the public with the aim of promoting culture.
被認為是豬名川町最大民宅之一的「舊富田家住宅」，於昭和59年由町購買，並以提高文化水平為目的向公眾開放。
「旧冨田家住宅」は美術商として知られた冨田熊作氏が出身地である猪名川町上野の2505平方メートルの敷地に昭和7年から3年の歳月をかけて建てた和風建築物です。
The “Old Tomita Family Residence” is a Japanese-style building that was constructed over a period of three years starting in the 7th year of the Showa era by Mr. Kumasaku Tomita, who was known as an art dealer, on a 2,505 square meter site located in Ueno, Inagawa Town, which is his hometown.
「舊富田家住宅」是美術商富田熊作氏在其故鄉豬名川町上野建造的和風建築，耗費了三年時間於昭和7年至9年間，佔地2505平方公尺。
茅葺屋根に総桧造りの主屋、4つの土蔵、表門など、建築面積534.3平方メートルの広大な屋敷です。
It is a vast estate with a thatched roof main house made of all cypress, four earthen warehouses, a front gate, and a total building area of 534.3 square meters.

京都の棟梁に依頼し、全国各地から良材を集め、江戸時代の豪農の屋敷を模して建てられた大豪邸でしたが、仕事柄、外国人などを接待するという目的にも沿った近代的な設備も備えていました。
It was a large mansion built in the style of a wealthy farmer’s residence from the Edo period, commissioned by the master builder in Kyoto, gathering quality materials from all over the country. However, due to the nature of the work, it was also equipped with modern facilities suitable for entertaining foreigners.
這是一座由京都的棟梁委託建造的大豪邸，從全國各地收集了優良材料，模仿江戶時代豪農的宅邸，但因為工作關係，也配備了符合接待外國人等目的的現代化設施。
冨田熊作氏はヨーロッパで最も美しい東洋陶磁コレクションとして極めて高い評価を受けているスイスの資産家アルフレッド・バウアーのバウアーコレクションを完成させた事でも知られていますが、そのバウアー氏は美術品の収集に関して冨田氏に全幅の信頼を寄せ、無条件で購入を任せていたようで、後に「私は冨田を信頼したことを生涯一度も後悔したことはなかった」と述懐しています。
Mr. Kumasaku Tomita is also known for completing the Bauer Collection of Swiss philanthropist Alfred Bauer, which is highly regarded as the most beautiful collection of Eastern ceramics in Europe. Mr. Bauer had complete trust in Mr. Tomita regarding the collection of artworks and seemed to have entrusted him with purchases unconditionally. Later, he reminisced, saying, ‘I have never regretted trusting Tomita, not even once in my lifetime.’
富田熊作先生以完成瑞士資產家阿爾弗雷德·鮑爾的鮑爾收藏而聞名，該收藏被評價為歐洲最美的東方陶瓷收藏。鮑爾先生對於藝術品的收藏完全信任富田先生，無條件地將購買交給他，後來他回憶說：「我一生從未後悔過信任富田」
